Technical Design Engineer (Cables) – Dubai, UAE | Reliance Recruiters

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Custom Design: Design standard and non-standard (specialty) cables based on specific customer project requirements and international standards.
• Technical Drafting: Prepare detailed cable construction drawings and comprehensive technical data sheets using AutoCAD.
• Design Calculations: Perform critical electrical (voltage drop, current rating) and mechanical (bending radius, tensile strength) design calculations.
• ERP Management: Create, manage, and update technical product data and Bill of Materials (BOM) within SAP systems.
• Tendering Support: Support competitive tendering activities by providing cost-effective and technically compliant design solutions.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Sales, Planning, and Manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturing excellence.

🔹 Requirements:

• Professional Experience: Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience in cable design, testing, or manufacturing (LV, MV, or HV).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory).
• Software Mastery: Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD for precision engineering drawings.
• ERP Proficiency: Hands-on experience with SAP or other specialized ERP systems for engineering data management.
• Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with international cable standards (e.g., IEC, BS, ASTM) and testing protocols.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on product innovation and continuous improvement.
