🔹 Key Responsibilities:

  • API Design & Development: Design, build, and maintain enterprise-scale APIs using the Apigee platform to support high-traffic digital platforms.
  • Security Implementation: Implement robust security policies including OAuth 2.0, JWT (JSON Web Tokens), and API key validation to ensure secure backend integrations.
  • Lifecycle Management: Manage the full API lifecycle, including versioning, documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI), and deprecation strategies.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and integration issues at the gateway level.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with backend developers and frontend teams to define API contracts and optimize payload structures.
  • Platform Enhancement: Support the continuous optimization of the Apigee environment, including the implementation of caching, rate limiting, and quota policies.

🔹 Requirements:

  • Core Expertise: Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience specifically in API development and management.
  • Platform Skills: Expert-level knowledge of the Apigee platform (Edge, X, or Hybrid).
  • Technical Toolkit: Strong proficiency in RESTful services, JSON, and programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, or Node.js.
  • Security Knowledge: Deep understanding of authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML).
  • Cloud Exposure: Experience with major cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, or AWS) is considered a strong advantage.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, enterprise-level digital environment with a focus on scalability and reliability.
