Lead Engineer – Fire & Life Safety | Abu Dhabi, UAE | Scientechnic

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• System Design & Oversight: Lead the end-to-end design and review of Fire & Life Safety (FLS) systems, ensuring seamless integration into multi-disciplinary project frameworks.
• Regulatory Authority: Guarantee absolute compliance with UAE Civil Defence requirements, NFPA standards, IBC, and international safety codes.
• Technical Leadership: Conduct high-level risk assessments and develop performance-based fire engineering solutions for complex structural challenges.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical liaison with clients, consultants, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to secure project approvals.
• Quality Assurance: Review and approve intricate technical specifications, hydraulic calculations, and fire strategy reports with rigorous precision.
• Lifecycle Coordination: Oversee the project journey from concept through to construction, on-site testing, and final commissioning of fire systems.

🔹 Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of technical FLS engineering experience, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
• Code Mastery: Expert knowledge of the UAE Fire & Life Safety Code of Practice, NFPA standards, and global safety benchmarks.
• Project Portfolio: Demonstrated experience leading large-scale commercial, residential, mixed-use, or major infrastructure projects.
• Certifications: Professional status such as CFPS, PE, or Chartered Engineer (CEng) is highly advantageous.
• Skills: Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to lead high-level technical coordination meetings.
