Job Description / Role
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Primary Medical Care: Provide on-site medical consultations and treatment for students and staff within the school environment.
- Emergency Response: Lead the medical response for acute injuries or sudden illnesses, ensuring stabilized care and coordination with emergency services when necessary.
- Health Screenings: Conduct mandatory periodic health assessments, including vision, hearing, and growth monitoring as per Dubai health authority requirements.
- Preventative Health: Oversee school-based immunization programs and promote health awareness regarding nutrition, hygiene, and chronic disease management (e.g., asthma, diabetes).
- Regulatory Documentation: Maintain meticulous electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure the school clinic remains compliant with DHA/KHDA school health policies.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a bilingual liaison between the medical clinic, parents, and school administration regarding student health status.
🔹 Requirements:
- Language Skills: Fluency in Arabic is mandatory to effectively communicate with students and families.
- Licensing: Must possess a valid UAE clinical license (DHA, MOH, or DOH) as a General Practitioner.
- Experience: Proven clinical experience within the UAE healthcare system; prior experience in a school health setting is highly preferred.
- Availability: Candidates must be available for an immediate start.
- Professionalism: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle pediatric cases with care and professional discretion.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Dubai school health regulations and reporting protocols.
