IT Support / IT Officer – Dubai, UAE | Gulf Model School

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Support: Provide first-level IT assistance to teachers, staff, and management to ensure uninterrupted school operations.
• Systems Management: Oversee biometric enrollment for staff and students, including troubleshooting and database updates.
• Identity Management: Manage the end-to-end process for ID card printing, replacements, and access control issues.
• Classroom Tech: Maintain and troubleshoot smart boards, projectors, laptops, and printers across all classrooms.
• Network & Security: Assist with network connectivity, system access, and basic software/hardware maintenance.
• Digital Learning: Provide critical technical support for online classes, digital learning platforms, and high-stakes examinations.
• Asset Tracking: Maintain accurate IT inventory records and assist the IT Manager with system updates and infrastructure improvements.

🔹 Requirements:

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years in an IT support role; prior experience within a school environment is highly preferred.
• Specialized Skills: Hands-on experience with biometric systems and ID card processing technology is a significant advantage.
• Technical Knowledge: Foundational knowledge of networking (LAN/WLAN), hardware repair, and school-based software systems.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with a helpful, service-focused attitude toward non-technical staff and students.
• Attributes: Reliability, proactive problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure during exam periods.
