🔹 Key Responsibilities:

  • Platform Design: Architect and implement modern data solutions on Microsoft Azure, focusing on enterprise-scale performance and reliability.
  • Databricks Optimization: Utilize Azure Databricks in production environments, leveraging Databricks Runtime (DBR) performance features for data processing.
  • Workload Migration: Lead the migration of complex data workloads from Azure Synapse Analytics to Databricks environments.
  • Data Governance: Implement and manage Unity Catalog to ensure robust data security, lineage, and governance across the platform.
  • Data Orchestration: Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Lakeflow and modern orchestration frameworks.
  • Architecture Implementation: Apply Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) and Delta Lake standards to optimize query performance and data quality.

🔹 Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering within production-grade Azure environments.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Synapse-to-Databricks migrations.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
  • Documentation: Must possess a valid passport and a UAN number for administrative compliance.
  • Logistics: Must be willing and available to work onsite in Abu Dhabi.
  • Skills: Deep knowledge of query performance optimization and modern data orchestration patterns.
