🔹 Key Responsibilities:

  • Mise en Place Excellence: Execute meticulous food preparation and station setup for high-volume banquet events, ensuring all ingredients meet luxury standards.
  • Culinary Execution: Support the Chef de Cuisine in the preparation of hot kitchen dishes, maintaining consistent flavor profiles and plating aesthetics.
  • Station Management: (For DCDP) Lead a specific section of the kitchen, supervising Commis chefs and ensuring efficient workflow during service.
  • Quality Control: Rigorously monitor food freshness, portion control, and cooking temperatures to uphold the Sofitel culinary reputation.
  • Hygiene & Safety: Maintain absolute compliance with HACCP regulations and Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) standards.
  • Stock Management: Assist in inventory checks, proper food storage (FIFO), and minimizing waste through efficient prep techniques.

🔹 Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven professional experience in a Banquet Hot Kitchen, ideally within a 4 or 5-star luxury hotel environment.
  • Skill Set: Strong technical culinary skills (knife skills, stocks, sauces, and protein cookery) suitable for high-volume output.
  • Teamwork: Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate seamlessly within a high-pressure, diverse kitchen brigade.
  • Adaptability: Proven resilience in fast-paced environments with the flexibility to work shifts across diverse banquet schedules.
  • Education: Culinary Arts Diploma or relevant professional certification is highly preferred.
