Job Description:

A leadership opportunity is now open for an experienced and results-driven Supermarket Manager in Abu Dhabi. This role is designed for a retail professional who can take full ownership of store operations and lead diverse teams toward achieving sales excellence. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the store, ensuring that profitability targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and customer service. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in the UAE retail market, with the ability to manage complex inventory cycles and control operational shrinkage independently. We are looking for a visionary leader who can inspire staff and streamline day-to-day store functioning to drive long-term business growth.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee complete day-to-day supermarket operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable store functioning.
  • Drive sales performance and implement strategies to achieve monthly revenue and profitability targets.
  • Manage sophisticated inventory levels, ensuring optimum stock availability and efficient replenishment cycles.
  • Implement strict controls to minimize shrinkage, wastage, and operational losses through rigorous monitoring.
  • Lead, train, and motivate store teams to achieve high performance and maintain exceptional service standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, international hygiene standards, and UAE retail regulations.
  • Liaise with the Management team to provide detailed sales reports and operational forecasts.
  • Coordinate with the Human Resources department regarding manpower deployment, staff training, and performance reviews.
  • Work with IT support to ensure the smooth operation of POS systems and inventory software.
  • Manage relations with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods.

🔹 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of solid experience in supermarket or large-format retail store management.
  • Mandatory: Proven professional experience in a similar leadership role within the UAE.
  • Strong leadership, people management, and strategic decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to manage end-to-end store operations independently with a focus on ROI.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic or other regional languages is an advantage.
  • Sound knowledge of local municipality hygiene standards and retail labor laws.
