Job Description:
Otak International is looking for a motivated Civil Engineer to join our professional engineering consultancy team in the UAE. This role is ideally suited for early-to-mid-career professionals who have a solid foundation in the UAE’s consultancy sector. You will be responsible for supporting critical design reviews, managing technical coordination across multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring that all project components align with local building codes and safety standards. We are seeking a proactive engineer who can identify technical risks and collaborate effectively with architects and site teams to deliver high-quality infrastructure solutions.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Support engineering design reviews and manage technical coordination between multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure all project components comply with UAE regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
- Coordinate effectively with architects, site teams, and other consultants to monitor progress and mitigate technical risks.
- Contribute to project planning and quality assurance by preparing detailed technical reports and documentation.
- Liaise with the management team to provide technical updates and ensure project milestones are met.
- Coordinate with Human Resources regarding project staffing requirements and professional development goals.
- Utilize Information Technology tools and advanced engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) for technical analysis and design verification.
- Handle documentation for authority approvals and ensure adherence to consultancy workflows.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of proven experience specifically within a UAE Engineering Consultancy.
- Strong understanding of consultancy workflows, UAE engineering standards, and authority approvals.
- Proficiency in technical analysis, problem-solving, and professional reporting/documentation.
- High level of proficiency in IT tools and specialized civil engineering software.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate across diverse technical departments.
- Professional communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Proactive mindset with a strong commitment to project quality and safety standards.
