Job Description:
Desert Leisure Swimming Pools is currently expanding its operations and seeking to appoint a highly experienced and commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our UAE team. This role is essential for overseeing the financial and contractual health of our aquatic projects from the initial pre-contract tender evaluation through to final account settlement. You will be responsible for ensuring all projects are delivered within budget while maintaining strict compliance with contractual obligations and company standards. We are looking for a professional who demonstrates confidence in handling complex financial forecasting and contractual documentation with absolute precision within a fast-paced construction environment.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Manage comprehensive project costs from pre-contract tender evaluation through to final account completion and handover.
- Prepare detailed cost plans, high-accuracy estimates, and complex budget forecasts for the management team.
- Oversee all contract administration processes to ensure full compliance with contractual terms and UAE regulations.
- Monitor project expenditures and implement effective controls for site variations and change orders.
- Evaluate and negotiate variations and claims professionally with subcontractors and clients.
- Maintain accurate digital financial records and provide regular commercial reports to the management.
- Liaise with project managers, consultants, and clients on all high-level commercial and contractual matters.
- Coordinate with Human Resources regarding departmental resource allocation and specialized technical training.
- Utilize Information Technology and estimation software to drive value engineering opportunities.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related engineering field.
- Strong professional background in cost planning, budget forecasting, and contract administration in the UAE.
- Thorough understanding of the construction project lifecycle and contractual documentation (FIDIC or similar).
- Advanced proficiency in IT tools, specifically Microsoft Excel and specialized QS software.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work within a fast-paced, technically demanding environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for effective stakeholder management.
- High level of professional integrity and attention to documentation accuracy.
- Prior experience in leisure, MEP, or swimming pool construction is a significant advantage.
