Job Description:
A leading organization in Dubai is seeking an experienced Senior Reinsurance Professional with extensive expertise in General Insurance, covering both Motor and Non-Motor lines. This high-impact role is designed for a strategic thinker capable of managing end-to-end treaty and facultative arrangements while optimizing relationships with global reinsurers. You will be responsible for analyzing risk exposure and evaluates complex reinsurance structures to mitigate potential liabilities for the group. We are looking for a professional with a decade of leadership experience in the UAE market who can provide high-level guidance to underwriting and claims teams while ensuring strict adherence to UAE regulatory standards.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and optimize treaty and facultative reinsurance arrangements across all General Insurance lines.
- Manage and strengthen relationships with international reinsurers and brokers, ensuring compliance with UAE market standards.
- Provide high-level strategic guidance to the management team on reinsurance policies and placements.
- Analyze total risk exposure and evaluate complex reinsurance structures to mitigate potential corporate liabilities.
- Collaborate seamlessly with underwriting, claims, and finance departments to ensure smooth reinsurance operations.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of UAE Central Bank regulatory requirements and regional market practices.
- Liaise with Human Resources regarding technical training for the reinsurance team and departmental staffing needs.
- Utilize advanced Information Technology tools for digital risk modeling and reporting.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Diploma/Certificate in Insurance, Finance, or a related field.
- 10 to 15 years of hands-on experience in reinsurance specifically within General Insurance.
- Strong familiarity and existing network within the UAE reinsurance market.
- Proven expertise in the management of both treaty and facultative reinsurance portfolios.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and high-stakes negotiation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in IT tools for reporting and financial data management.
- Ability to work independently and provide strategic leadership in reinsurance placements.
- In-depth understanding of both Motor and Non-Motor insurance lines.
