Job Description:

Oasis International School in Al Ain is currently looking to appoint a qualified and proactive Health & Safety Officer to support and maintain a secure, compliant, and well-managed environment for both students and staff. This role is fundamental to our institutional mission, requiring an experienced professional who can implement robust HSE policies and promote a culture of safety awareness across the campus. You will be responsible for conducting rigorous risk assessments, coordinating emergency preparedness drills, and ensuring total adherence to UAE safety regulations. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong documentation skills and working knowledge of electronic reporting systems. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor comprehensive health and safety policies to ensure a 100% compliant school environment.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits across all campus facilities and classrooms.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness procedures, including fire drills and evacuation protocols.
  • Promote a proactive safety-first culture among students, faculty, and administrative staff.
  • Manage incident investigation and reporting, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory standards.
  • Utilize the ADPHC’s electronic OSH reporting system for timely and accurate compliance updates.
  • Liaise with Human Resources regarding staff safety training, first aid certifications, and occupational health records.
  • Maintain meticulous safety records and prepare periodic HSE performance reports for school leadership.

🔹 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related academic field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience working specifically as an HSE Officer.
  • Mandatory certification in Incident Investigation and Reporting.
  • Accredited First Aider and Fire Fighter certification is required.
  • Practical working knowledge of ADPHC’s electronic OSH reporting system.
  • Excellent communication skills to deliver safety guidance effectively to a diverse academic community.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with the broader school leadership team.
