Job Description:

Darwish Engineering is seeking a committed and skilled Junior HSE Officer to join its team in Dubai, focusing on road and infrastructure projects. This role is fundamental to our operational integrity, requiring a professional who can ensure the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance on-site. You will be responsible for enforcing company HSE policies, conducting rigorous site inspections, and performing detailed risk assessments to prevent workplace incidents. We are looking for an individual with 3 to 5 years of mandatory UAE experience who understands the unique safety challenges of heavy civil engineering. This is a brilliant opportunity to enhance workplace safety standards while working on dynamic and high-impact infrastructure projects.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and enforce strict adherence to company HSE policies and all relevant UAE safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and perform comprehensive risk assessments for road and infrastructure activities.
  • Identify potential hazards and implement immediate corrective actions to safeguard employees and project operations.
  • Lead safety briefings and provide field-level education to project teams on safe work practices.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and management to ensure all safety protocols are consistently followed.
  • Maintain accurate HSE documentation, incident reports, and safety performance records.
  • Utilize Information Technology tools to track safety compliance metrics and report findings.
  • Liaise with Human Resources regarding safety training certifications and workforce welfare initiatives.

🔹 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant HSE experience, specifically within the UAE road and infrastructure sector.
  • Thorough knowledge of local UAE HSE legislation and international safety standards (OSHA/IOSH/NEBOSH).
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach to safety management.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively guide construction teams and present reports to stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in IT applications for documentation and digital safety tracking.
  • Proven ability to handle on-site challenges and lead emergency response coordination if required.
  • Successful track record in supporting sales and tendering teams with HSE technical documentation.
