Job Description:
Orion Contracting Company LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join its Project Control Department in Ras Al Khaimah. This role is fundamental to our financial framework, requiring a professional who can provide strategic oversight for cost estimation and quantity take-offs. You will be responsible for reviewing tender documents, managing BOQs, and analyzing project risks for management review. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze tender documents, including drawings and BOQs, to identify cost risks and sales of cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and develop accurate cost estimates for various construction projects.
- Coordinate with procurement and planning teams to ensure accurate financial data and cost analysis.
- Maintain updated cost databases utilizing specialized Information Technology and QS software.
- Liaise with the Human Resources department regarding technical training and project control personnel standards.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience working with main contractors on large-scale projects.
- Technical proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Planswift, Candy, or CostX.
- Strong knowledge of UAE market rates, subcontractor pricing, and material costs.
- Professional background in education or training regarding RICS standards or commercial evaluation is a plus.
- Excellent numerical and communication skills; immediate joiners are highly preferred.
