Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. This role is fundamental to our operational framework, requiring a professional who can oversee daily accounting functions while managing complex project-related financials for interior design and real estate developments. You will be responsible for cost tracking, revenue recognition, and ensuring strict compliance with IFRS and VAT regulations for management review. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project accounting for real estate and interior design projects, ensuring accurate cost tracking and budget monitoring.
- Handle day-to-day accounting activities including general ledger, AP/AR, and bank reconciliations to support fiscal accuracy.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards.
- Liaise with the Human Resources department regarding payroll accounting and internal financial controls.
- Coordinate with auditors and regulatory authorities to ensure timely VAT filings and tax compliance.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; Professional certifications like CPA or ACCA are highly preferred.
- 5 to 6+ years of relevant experience, ideally within the real estate, interior design, or construction sectors.
- Strong understanding of project accounting principles, cost control methods, and revenue recognition.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE/GCC VAT regulations and local financial laws.
- Strong background in management of junior staff and professional financial forecasting.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
