Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage end-to-end accounting processes across multiple entities. This role is fundamental to our organizational framework, requiring a professional who can oversee month-end closing and vessel-related financial activities for management and audit performance review. You will be responsible for VAT filing, intercompany reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with IFRS standards. We are looking for an individual with a strong foundation in Maritime Financial Reporting and Multi-Currency Accounting and a proactive approach to audit readiness. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee full month-end closing processes and prepare audit-ready documentation to meet management targets.
- Support fiscal integrity in Dubai, ensuring 100% precision in vessel-related costs, charter revenues, and multi-currency bank reconciliations.
- Liaise with the Human Resources department and external auditors to facilitate professional organizational reporting and VAT compliance.
- Record intercompany transactions and maintain the integrity of the general ledger through accurate postings.
- Utilize digital Information Technology tools and advanced Excel to prepare balance sheet schedules and detailed variance analysis.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CA are highly preferred.
- 5 to 8 years of professional experience specifically within the shipping or maritime industry.
- Strong background in management of multi-entity accounting, voyage costs, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Professional background in education or training regarding IFRS standards, VAT preparation, and filing procedures.
- Ability to demonstrate operational excellence, possess advanced MS Excel skills, and handle complex financial schedules.
- Excellent organizational abilities with the capability to support a high-standard holding company in Dubai.
