Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our professional construction operations team in Dubai. This role is fundamental to our organizational framework, requiring a financial professional who can deliver job-costing precision for management and project performance review. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day books, tracking subcontractor billing milestones, managing WPS compliance lines, preparing management statements, and validating UAE tax submittals. We are looking for an individual with a strong foundation in MEP Cost Control, IFRS Accounting Standards, and Project Cash Flow Forecasting and a proactive approach to operational timeline tracking. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Manage comprehensive project-wise accounting allocations, budgeting tracks, and cost controls to meet management and construction delivery benchmarks.
- Support financial statement integrity in Dubai, generating profit-and-loss accounts, progress billing ledgers, and site margin updates with 100% precision.
- Liaise with the Human Resources department, project managers, and subcontractor panels to facilitate professional organizational coordination of WPS payroll execution and payment distributions.
- Supervise day-to-day invoice matching, process cost-to-complete analyses, and maintain localized corporate tax and VAT file tracking archives.
- Utilize digital Information Technology suites and XERO ERP modules to maintain general books, format financial statements, and update forecasting models.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a closely related commercial discipline is required.
- A minimum of 4 to 7 years of professional accounting experience within the contracting or construction industry is required.
- Strong background in management of civil and MEP project accounts, subcontractor invoicing, and progress certificate validation.
- Professional background in education regarding IFRS rules, UAE VAT and corporate tax regulations, and statutory labor laws (WPS); advanced knowledge of Excel is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, analytical reporting, and multi-departmental coordination skills.
- Ability to demonstrate operational excellence, evaluate multiple moving project costs under strict reporting margins, and thrive in a fast-paced Dubai construction corporate hub.
