Job Description:
A specialized clinical vacancy is open for a qualified Medical Physicist / Radiation & Laser Safety Officer to protect operational integrity across high-tech diagnostics and treatment units. This critical safety position governs quality assurance calibrations, active exposure profiling, and legal regulatory auditing to ensure full compliance within the hospital facility in Dubai, UAE.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage radiation & laser safety compliance frameworks across all hospital departments.
- Ensure quality assurance, meticulous calibration, and performance checks of medical equipment on a regular basis.
- Monitor radiation exposure levels for both patients and healthcare staff to ensure safety standards are strictly maintained.
- Conduct comprehensive technical audits, risk assessments, and implement updated safety protocols when required.
- Work closely with oncology teams, radiologists, technicians, and clinical units to improve treatment accuracy.
- Provide technical training sessions and promote a strong culture of safety awareness across the organization.
- Ensure full compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, FANR requirements, and internal hospital safety policies.
🔹 Requirements:
- DHA license or verified eligibility to practice as a Medical Physicist in Dubai is mandatory.
- Proven professional experience handling clinical radiation safety and complex machine quality assurance systems.
- Deep understanding of UAE healthcare regulations, licensing compliance, and international radiological safety standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and structural documentation skills with strong attention to layout detail.
- Prior experience working inside an integrated hospital or fast-paced clinical imaging infrastructure.
- Familiarity with digital calibration tracking software and advanced imaging Information Technology modules.
- Degree in Medical Physics or a closely related physical science field from a recognized higher education institution.
