Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-driven, proactive Document Controller to organize engineering archives and govern critical information distributions for our active project division in Abu Dhabi. Operating as the primary registry guardian on-site, this full-time role focuses on verifying transmittal logs, auditing blueprint registers, and tracking data revisions across multi-disciplinary teams under our centralized corporate management framework.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, secure, and index high-volume project blueprints, technical submittals, vendor drawings, and contract files within a structured archive.
- Control, log, and track inbound and outbound transmittals, RFI logs, and construction documentation changes seamlessly.
- Ensure all technical files are properly coded, updated to the latest revision level, and made readily accessible to site teams.
- Coordinate directly with project managers, structural engineers, independent consultants, and subcontractor units to facilitate document reviews.
- Enforce absolute compliance with international project management metrics, municipal engineering standards, and regulatory documentation laws.
- Monitor technical drawing variations and ensure rigorous revision numbering protocols are followed across all design levels.
- Prepare structured document control logs, transmittal indexes, and information flow summaries for senior project leadership.
- Maintain synchronized digital cloud indexes alongside immaculate physical file basements for sensitive corporate archives.
- Support external governance audits and ensure that all engineering records remain continuously audit-ready.
🔹 Requirements:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of verified professional experience operating as a document controller directly inside the civil construction or heavy engineering sectors.
- Prior structural experience working within the United Arab Emirates or wider GCC corporate project environments is highly preferred.
- Deep technical understanding of professional document control platforms, tracking numbers, submittal workflows, and transmittal processes.
- Advanced computer literacy with practical proficiency using document management systems, tracking software, and the MS Office suite (Word, Excel).
- Meticulous attention to coding detail, high organizational habits, and exceptional time management capabilities to meet strict submission deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills to confidently coordinate data flows across diverse technical teams.
- Proven capacity to perform accurately and remain calm under pressure inside a fast-paced, target-driven site administrative environment.
- Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent validation in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related structured field is preferred.
