Job Description:
We are seeking a highly competent, detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to govern inventory acquisitions and lead vendor contract settlements for our central procurement division in Abu Dhabi. Operating as an essential supply strategist within our supply chain team, this full-time role focuses on verifying bulk commodity quotations, optimizing material tracking files, and auditing supplier performance parameters under our integrated operations management framework.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day procurement activities systematically, tracking the end-to-end flow from initial product sourcing to final site delivery.
- Negotiate closely with foodstuff producers, local distributors, and packaging vendors to secure optimal price architectures and credit terms.
- Prepare, issue, and review formal Local Purchase Orders (LPOs), comprehensive market quotations, and detailed cost comparison reports.
- Monitor external supplier performance metrics, audit delivery timelines, and maintain long-term corporate vendor relationships.
- Enforce tight departmental cost controls and ensure absolute structural alignment with our internal corporate procurement policies.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with warehouse supervisors, culinary logistics teams, and finance officers to process prompt material requests.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related commercial discipline.
- Minimum of 2+ years of successful, verified professional experience operating in a procurement or purchasing capacity strictly inside the UAE.
- Prior background or deep operational familiarity within fast-moving catering services, food production, or premium hospitality sectors is highly preferred.
- Strong localized market knowledge regarding UAE wholesale foodstuff dealers, regional agricultural supply networks, and seasonal pricing trends.
- Proven hands-on experience formulating audit-ready LPOs, building quotation evaluation structures, and compiling cost variance reports.
- Advanced data literacy with practical proficiency deploying formulas, lookup rules, and inventory tracking spreadsheets inside Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional negotiation, interpersonal interaction, and verbal communication skills to coordinate effectively with a diverse external supplier base.
- Proven capacity to perform accurately under pressure, resolve procurement disputes quickly, and meet tight corporate kitchen timelines.
