Job Description:
We are seeking a highly capable, driven Supervisor – Operations & Customer Service to direct day-to-day freight forwarding activities and lead our front-facing client services group in Dubai. Operating as an essential frontline manager within our active global commerce division, this full-time role focuses on accelerating cargo movement speeds, optimizing localized carrier procurement structures, and driving elite service quality parameters under our unified network management framework.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee, guide, and regulate daily global freight forwarding, customs clearance coordination, and multimodal shipping operations across the UAE.
- Manage end-to-end cargo movement workflows, systematically identifying transit delays to ensure timely and secure product deliveries.
- Liaise and negotiate with shipping lines, air carriers, port handlers, and specialized domestic haulage vendors to maintain efficient operational lines.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a dedicated team of logistics coordinators, evaluating daily performance targets and accelerating team productivity.
- Govern customer service desks, managing high-priority corporate accounts and providing rapid, effective resolutions to escalations to drive absolute client satisfaction.
- Monitor operational profit margins, audit route efficiencies, and implement systematic workflow adjustments where necessary.
- Ensure total team alignment with international marine laws, local customs regulations, and internal corporate safety guidelines.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Engineering, International Business, or an equivalent commercial discipline.
- Minimum of 5 to 6 years of successful, verified professional experience strictly working within global freight forwarding or shipping line operational roles within the UAE.
- Proven leadership track record requiring a minimum of 2 to 3 years operating directly within a supervisory, team lead, or assistant manager capacity.
- Deep structural understanding of import/export customs clearance laws, ocean bill of lading configurations, air waybill procedures, and regional port operations.
- Advanced technical data literacy with practical proficiency deploying formulas, data tracking logs, and analytical summary tables inside Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills paired with persuasive client relationship management, negotiation, and conflict resolution instincts.
- Proven capacity to manage multiple time-critical freight movements simultaneously within an energetic, target-driven workspace.
