Job Description:
We are executing a strategic technical appointment within our site compliance division and are seeking an experienced, proactive HSE Engineer – Civil Construction to govern active field security pipelines and direct environmental risk mitigation pathways across our build programs in Dubai. Built for visionary risk-mitigation engineers who possess a deep command of heavy civil infrastructure protocols and excel at implementing systematic safety habits, this full-time role focuses on eliminating workplace hazard incidents, auditing field compliance logs, and maximizing overall operational performance safety under our integrated corporate management framework.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Implement, monitor, and enforce comprehensive health, safety, and environmental protection policies across busy civil construction sites.
- Ensure uncompromised site compliance with UAE federal safety laws, municipal building decrees, and internationally recognized HSE standards.
- Conduct thorough daily site inspections, coordinate formal safety audits, lead motivational toolbox talks, and run workforce instruction sessions.
- Prepare, update, and manage high-fidelity digital HSE transaction records, hazard matrices, and mandatory statutory documentation files.
- Investigate site incidents or near-miss conditions systematically, locate structural root causes, and execute detailed corrective actions.
- Perform analytical project risk assessments and evaluate active workplace hazards continuously to maintain zero-accident milestones.
- Work closely with resident site managers, field engineering supervisors, and subcontractor safety officers to maintain an incident-free environment.
- Promote continuous technical enhancement tracks in hazard awareness, safety culture development, and individual field accountability metrics.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or professional Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a matching accredited technical field.
- A minimum of 5 to 6 years of verified professional experience operating strictly as an HSE Engineer within the UAE civil construction and heavy contracting sector.
- A valid United Arab Emirates Driving License is mandatory to facilitate immediate cross-site mobility and rapid emergency field deployment.
- Advanced data literacy with practical proficiency deploying safety metrics, inspection grids, and incident log tracking systems inside Microsoft Excel and cloud documentation portals.
- Deep, comprehensive technical knowledge across the following occupational health domains:
- UAE health, safety, and environmental legislation, municipal building codes, and ministerial compliance rules.
- Heavy construction site hazard identification, job safety analysis (JSA), and risk mitigation mapping.
- Incident investigation methodologies, root cause analysis testing, and statutory reporting documentation.
- HSE management systems, tool-kit teaching frameworks, and sub-contractor safety enforcement practices.
- Outstanding team leadership traits, a highly observant mind with sharp attention to detail, and data-driven problem-solving habits under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication habits paired with the interpersonal confidence to enforce safety halts on site when required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possession of recognized professional HSE credentials, such as a NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC), IOSH membership, or matching global safety validations, is highly preferred.
