Job Description:
The Accountant – Payable will manage overall accounts payable operations, oversee supplier ledgers, and maintain vendor financial workflows. Stationed at our Dubai office, this experienced finance professional will handle invoice verification, perform bank reconciliations, execute VAT compliance reporting, oversee month-end accounts closing, and ensure timely disbursements to fit-out sub-contractors and materials vendors.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily accounts payable activities and ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Review, verify, and reconcile supplier accounts and payment records.
- Maintain accurate payable records and supporting financial documentation.
- Handle bank reconciliations and assist with financial reporting activities.
- Ensure compliance with VAT requirements and accounting standards.
- Monitor outstanding payments and coordinate with internal departments and vendors.
- Support month-end closing and other finance-related activities.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of professional accounting experience with direct focus on accounts payable operations.
- Previous domain experience within the interior fit-out or construction industry is required.
- Solid expertise in accounts payable processing, supplier management, and general ledger reconciliations.
- In-depth understanding of standard accounting principles, local UAE VAT regulations, and bank reconciliations.
- Proficiency in financial accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Candidates must currently reside in the UAE; immediate joiners are strongly preferred.
