Accountant – Payables

Job Description:
BISMI is seeking an experienced Accountant – Payables to join its finance department in Dubai (DIP 2). Based in Dubai, this financial accounting specialist will manage end-to-end accounts payable workflows, verify vendor invoices and claims, execute bank transfers and cheque payments, perform supplier account reconciliations, coordinate closely with procurement and warehouse teams, and assist with month-end financial closing activities.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices, credit notes, and staff reimbursement claims.
- Verify invoice accuracy, approvals, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain supplier reconciliations and aging reports.
- Prepare and process payments through cheques, bank transfers, and online payment methods.
- Monitor outstanding payables and coordinate with suppliers regarding payment matters.
- Work closely with procurement and warehouse teams for invoice and delivery verification.
- Support month-end closing activities and audit requirements.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company procedures.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Relevant hands-on accounting experience specializing in accounts payable (AP) operations.
- Strong knowledge of supplier reconciliations, payment processing routines, aging analysis, and general ledger maintenance.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and organizational capabilities to collaborate across procurement and warehouse departments.
