Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant / Senior Accountant to lead our financial operations for multiple projects in Dubai. This role is designed for a professional who understands the unique financial landscape of the contracting and building materials industry. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day transactions, managing project costs, and ensuring that our UAE VAT compliance is impeccable. The ideal candidate will have the analytical depth to prepare sophisticated MIS reports and the organizational discipline to manage high-volume accounts payable and receivable cycles across various business units.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure the integrity of all financial transactions within the group.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, Management Information System (MIS) reports, and detailed performance analyses.
- Manage the full Accounts Payable and Receivable cycle, ensuring timely processing and vendor reconciliation.
- Perform meticulous bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow across multiple project accounts.
- Manage UAE VAT filing and ensure total compliance with national tax regulations.
- Monitor project-specific costs and track operational expenses to prevent budget overruns.
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation and detailed financial reports.
- Liaise with the Management team to identify cost-saving opportunities and financial growth strategies.
- Coordinate with the Human Resources department regarding project-based payroll and WPS compliance.
- Collaborate with Engineering and MEP site teams to track material valuations and job-order costs.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–7 years of proven accounting experience, preferably in Construction, MEP, or Building Materials.
- Strong hands-on understanding of project accounting and job-costing in a contracting environment.
- Sound knowledge of current UAE VAT regulations and statutory compliance procedures.
- Proficiency in modern accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight financial deadlines independently.
