AP Accountant

Job Description:
The AP Accountant will manage daily accounts payable activities, execute vendor payment workflows, and maintain accurate ledger documentation within the finance department. Based in Dubai, this accounting professional will process supplier invoices, perform account reconciliations, coordinate with internal project teams, support month-end closing, and ensure complete financial record accuracy in accordance with company policies.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounts payable activities.
- Process supplier invoices accurately and on time.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Perform vendor account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process vendor payments in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure accounting records are complete and up to date.
- Coordinate with internal departments and vendors regarding payment-related matters.
- Support month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
- Assist with audit requirements and maintain proper documentation.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant accounting and accounts payable experience.
- Prior background in the construction or contracting industry is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP accounting software, vendor reconciliations, and payment processing routines.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and record management capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.
