Job Description:

We are executing a strategic professional appointment within our construction supervision division and are seeking an experienced, highly technical Assistant Resident Engineer (Electrical & Instrumentation) to govern site installations and direct automation pipelines for a major water infrastructure project in Al Ain. Operating as a critical engineering anchor and technical systems supervisor within our site management team, this full-time role focuses on accelerating project delivery timelines, auditing contractor installations, and maximizing system safety under our integrated project management framework.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in supervising electrical, SCADA, and instrumentation engineering works on-site to guarantee high-fidelity installations.
  • Ensure absolute structural compliance with approved project specifications, local utility codes, and international engineering standards.
  • Review and audit detailed contractor submittals, shop drawings, loop diagrams, and specialized instrument data documentation.
  • Monitor the physical progress of major water infrastructure components, prioritizing heavy-duty pumping stations and distribution reservoirs.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with field contractors, main engineering consultants, utility authorities, and key municipal project stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough site quality inspections, supervise field instrumentation testing, and prepare comprehensive technical progress reports.
  • Support resident project management teams in isolating, analyzing, and resolving complex electromechanical or automation issues on-site.
  • Enforce rigid adherence to safety protocols, international quality assurance matrices, and environmental guidelines during construction.

🔹 Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or an equivalent accredited engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 to 12+ years of successful, verified professional experience in construction supervision, specifically focused on heavy utility projects.
  • Strong, proven engineering background directing installations across major water infrastructure frameworks, high-capacity reservoirs, and pumping stations.
  • Prior successful project experience within the United Arab Emirates and deep familiarity with regional utility standards and approval metrics are highly desirable.
  • Advanced technical data literacy with practical proficiency evaluating automated calculations, tracking metrics tables, and managing material indices inside Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent technical reporting, sharp problem-solving capabilities, and highly polished verbal and written English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidates holding valid, active TAQA approvals or related regional authority engineering registrations will be given absolute priority.
