Job Description / Role
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Career Pathway Development: Apply a scaffolded approach to help students explore and develop suitable academic and professional pathways.
- Assessments & Portfolios: Conduct formal psychometric assessments from Year 8 onwards and maintain detailed student portfolios research on university courses and career clusters.
- University Admissions: Lead students through the full university application process, including personal statement reviews, entrance exam support, and documentation.
- Parental Engagement: Conduct one-on-one sessions with parents to discuss individualized career planning and degree choices.
- Event Coordination: Organise and lead Career Fairs, university exhibitions, and workshops, while maintaining relationships with local and international higher education institutions.
- Holistic Support: Facilitate internship placements, experiential learning, and workshops on life skills such as time management and study techniques.
🔹 Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or Counselling (a teaching qualification is an added advantage).
- UAE Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a Guidance Counsellor within a UAE school setting.
- Skills: Exceptional written and spoken English communication; ability to manage complex administrative university portals.
- Passion: A student-centric approach with a focus on empathy, detail, and long-term career planning.
- Safeguarding: Must provide a valid police clearance certificate as part of the school’s commitment to student welfare.
