Job Description:
The Case Manager will oversee inpatient and outpatient case coordination, manage insurance pre-authorizations, facilitate discharge planning, and support utilization management. Based in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi, this healthcare professional will review medical necessity, liaise with physicians and TPAs, track length of stay (LOS), and work closely with revenue cycle teams to ensure accurate clinical documentation and minimal claim denials.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient care with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals.
- Obtain pre-authorizations, concurrent approvals, and extension approvals from insurance companies and TPAs.
- Review medical necessity and ensure compliance with payer guidelines.
- Monitor patient length of stay (LOS) and resource utilization.
- Ensure complete and accurate clinical documentation to minimize claim denials.
- Collaborate with coding, billing, and finance teams to support timely claim submissions.
- Track pending insurance approvals and escalate delayed cases when necessary.
- Coordinate discharge planning and ensure continuity of patient care.
- Participate in utilization reviews, clinical audits, and prepare case management reports.
- Ensure compliance with DHA, DOH, MOHAP, and insurance regulations.
🔹 Requirements:
- Mandatory UAE experience working as a Case Manager in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong working knowledge of DOH, DHA, MOHAP, and UAE health insurance regulations.
- Hands-on expertise in insurance approvals, TPA processes, and medical necessity evaluations.
- In-depth understanding of revenue cycle processes, clinical documentation, and length of stay (LOS) monitoring.
- Strong communication, coordination, and patient care management skills.
