Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Customs Clearance Agent to join our operations team. This role is fundamental to our organizational framework, requiring a professional who can manage end-to-end clearance activities for management and operational performance review. You will be responsible for managing import/export documentation, calculating duties, and overseeing project cargo, RORO, and break bulk operations. We are looking for an individual with a strong foundation in UAE Customs Laws and Free Zone Procedures and a proactive approach to resolving shipment delays. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Manage import and export operations to meet management and timely cargo movement targets.
- Support trade integrity in Abu Dhabi, ensuring 100% precision in preparation and submission of customs documentation.
- Liaise with the Human Resources department and internal teams to ensure smooth workflow and cross-border land clearance operations.
- Review and verify shipping documents, including invoices, HS code approvals, and certificates of origin to facilitate professional organizational reporting.
- Utilize digital Information Technology tools to monitor shipment progress, calculate taxes, and maintain daily operational records.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related professional field.
- Proven professional experience specifically within customs clearance or freight forwarding in the UAE.
- Strong background in management of UAE customs regulations, free zone procedures, and documentation standards.
- Professional background in education or training regarding HS codes, bills of lading, and international shipping compliance.
- Ability to demonstrate operational excellence, possess excellent coordination skills, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are considered an added professional advantage in Abu Dhabi.
