Job Description:
A core commercial engineering vacancy is open for a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to handle comprehensive project pricing, material quantity analysis, and formal tender compilation. Working out of the main operations office in Dubai, UAE, this technical specialist will take complete charge of generating line-item budgets, running competitive vendor reviews, and evaluating custom joinery, civil, and specialized systems configurations to secure profitable corporate tenders.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQs), highly precise cost estimates, and comprehensive tender documentation folders.
- Review, audit, and analyze architectural shop drawings, interior schematic concepts, technical specifications, and general project bid criteria.
- Coordinate intensively with specialized material suppliers and industry subcontractors to acquire highly competitive material and labor quotations.
- Conduct physical site surveys for strict layout measurements, on-site structural verification, and early technical clarifications.
- Evaluate comprehensive cross-disciplinary project costs spanning specialized civil finishes, custom bespoke joinery, and active MEP services.
- Support proactive corporate value engineering initiatives and cost optimization strategies to maintain highly competitive client submissions.
- Assist senior project controllers in tracking accurate post-award cost controls, budget variances, and historical pricing databases.
🔹 Requirements:
- Minimum 3 to 6 years of direct, verified professional experience specializing in interior fit-out cost estimation inside the UAE marketplace.
- Strong, foundational engineering knowledge regarding luxury fit-out finishes, custom joinery fabrication methods, and decorative architectural materials.
- Absolute professional operational mastery of AutoCAD layout processing and advanced Microsoft Excel spreadsheet building is mandatory.
- Proven capacity to manage and navigate multiple tender deadlines simultaneously under tight technical delivery schedules.
- Exceptional analytical thinking, high numerical precision, and professional commercial negotiation capabilities.
- Strong collaborative communication skills to engage with site crews, external trade partners, and design departments smoothly.
- Bachelor’s Degree or professional Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management from an accredited higher education university.
