Job Description:
We are expanding our regional earth sciences division and seeking a qualified, highly motivated, and structured Geologist to join our professional geotechnical team in Dubai. This role is fundamental to our organizational framework, requiring a field data collection and subsurface mapping specialist who can deliver ground matrix modeling speed and stratigraphy logging precision for management and project consulting engineers performance review. You will be responsible for overseeing site survey tracks, organizing drill logging sequences, updating rock mechanics profiles, archiving ground water monitoring logs, and executing precise subsoil analysis pathways. We are looking for an individual with a strong foundation in Geotechnical Borehole Logging, Soil Mechanics Identification, and Laboratory Material Coordination and a proactive approach to operational tracking. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct disciplined geological and geotechnical site investigations across various urban development locations.
- Analyze underlying soil, rock mass, and subsurface groundwater conditions for diverse infrastructure projects.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, stratigraphy cross-sections, and investigative findings matching industry criteria.
- Coordinate seamlessly with civil engineers, laboratory technicians, and project management staff.
- Support intensive fieldwork activities and ensure completely accurate data collection from exploratory pits and drill rigs.
- Review geological models and provide clear technical recommendations when encountering anomalous strata.
- Maintain proper documentation, chain-of-custody protocols, and highly accurate field reporting records.
- Assist in ensuring subsurface investigations are completed fully according to quality standards and project timelines.
🔹 Requirements:
- Possession of a formal Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Applied Earth Sciences, or an equivalent related field is mandatory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of standard geological and geotechnical investigation procedures, drilling methods, and core sampling.
- Good analytical capacities with deep technical report writing, data collation, and logging documentation skills.
- Strong communication, field coordination, and cross-functional team collaboration abilities.
- Proven capability to work independently under field conditions and smoothly within a larger engineering project team.
- Prior professional experience or internships inside UAE site investigations, soil mechanics labs, or geotechnical profiles will be considered an advantage.
- Strong knowledge base and practical exposure regarding the management of borehole records, SPT data tracking, and dynamic cone penetration monitoring.
- Professional background in education regarding rock classification indexes, groundwater hydrology behavior, lab grading tests, and structural safety parameters.
- Ability to demonstrate operational excellence, balance multiple field logging deadlines under strict site mobilization timelines, and thrive in an elite Dubai engineering consultancy.
