Homeroom Teacher (Elementary) – Abu Dhabi, UAE | Virginia American School

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Instructional Delivery: Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across core elementary subjects, ensuring alignment with the American curriculum standards.
• Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, organized, and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and academic focus.
• Student Support: Foster the academic and social development of young learners, providing differentiated support to meet diverse learning needs.
• Continuity of Learning: Ensure a smooth transition for students during the maternity leave period by maintaining consistent grading and lesson planning.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the elementary faculty and school leadership to fulfill administrative and pedagogical requirements.
• Parent Communication: Maintain open and professional communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.

🔹 Requirements:

• Education: Mandatory Bachelor’s Degree coupled with a PGCE or B.Ed qualification.
• UAE Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional teaching experience within the UAE education sector.
• Availability: Must be available for an immediate start (Al Shawamekh location).
• Visa Status: Preference will be given to candidates currently holding a spouse or parent visa.
• Contract Terms: Understanding that this is a temporary maternity cover ranging from approximately 45 days to 2 months.
• Skills: Strong classroom management techniques and a genuine passion for elementary education.
