Join the Pakistan Navy as a PN Cadet for a Permanent Commission in Term 2026-A. Male citizens with F.Sc./A-Level (60% marks in Physics/Maths/Chem or CS) can apply. Selection involves a computer test, PET, and ISSB to become officers in the Operations, Engineering, or Supply branches.


Requirements:

  • Citizenship: Male Citizens of Pakistan.
  • Age on 15 May 2026:
    • Civilians (Unmarried): years.
    • Service Candidates (Armed Forces in uniform only) (Married/Unmarried): years.
  • Height: (Minimum).
  • Educational Qualification:
    • Must have passed both Matric and F.Sc or O/A Level with at least marks with any of the following subject combinations:
      • Physics, Maths & Chemistry
      • Physics, Maths & Computer Science
      • Physics, Maths & Statistics
    • F.Sc Pre-Engineering Part-II appearing candidates with at least marks in Part-I can apply (must provide a hope certificate and complete the examination before May 2026).
    • Pre-Medical students may apply, provided they qualify additional mathematics in their F.Sc or A Level studies before March 2026.
    • Candidates of O/A Level are required to submit an IBCC equivalence certificate.

Selection Process Highlights:

  • Computer-based Test/e-Testing: Covers Intelligence, Academic subjects (English, Maths/Physics & General Knowledge).
  • Preliminary Medical/Interview and Physical Efficiency Test (PET): For shortlisted candidates at respective PNR&SCs.
  • PET Standards:
    • Running One Mile (1.6 km): Minutes
    • Push-ups ( Repetitions): Minutes
    • Sit-ups ( Repetitions): Minutes
    • Chin-ups ( Repetitions): Minutes
  • ISSB: Only shortlisted candidates based on merit will be called for Test/Interviews at ISSB.
  • Final Selection: By Naval Headquarters in order of merit.

Ineligibility (Key Factors):

  • Twice rejected/screened out by ISSB.
  • Tested within four months ( days) gap of previous appearance in ISSB (except for waiver or appearing in GHQ/NHQ/AHQ boards).
  • Permanently declared UNFIT by Appeal Medical Board (PUF by AMB) or declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B & C.
  • Withdrawn/discharged/resigned or purchase of commission from any Armed Forces officers Academy/Training institution.
  • Concealment or tempering of academic certificates.
