Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Midwife with a specialization in breastfeeding and lactation support to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This role is fundamental to our maternal-child framework, requiring a professional who can conduct postnatal assessments and provide evidence-based lactation guidance for management review. You will be responsible for educating families on newborn care, managing breastfeeding challenges, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. We are looking for an individual with a strong foundation in Nursing or Midwifery and valid DoH eligibility. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough postnatal assessments for mothers and newborns within our Abu Dhabi clinical and home care settings.
- Provide evidence-based breastfeeding and lactation support to meet management clinical standards.
- Liaise with the Human Resources and clinical departments regarding staff training, awareness initiatives, and maternal health educational programs.
- Identify and manage complex breastfeeding challenges including latch techniques, positioning, and milk supply management.
- Utilize digital Information Technology tools to maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with DoH regulations.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery or Nursing with a Midwifery specialization.
- Active DoH license or eligibility to practice in Abu Dhabi is strictly mandatory.
- 2–3 years of professional experience in postnatal or maternal-child healthcare within the UAE.
- Strong background in management of lactation support, infant nutrition, and postnatal recovery.
- Professional background in education or training regarding breastfeeding practices; IBCLC certification is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary healthcare team.
