Job Description:

The Part-time Research Assistant will contribute to ongoing qualitative research projects within the healthcare and public health domain. Based in Sharjah, this skilled academic professional will lead field interviews and focus group discussions across the UAE, execute thematic data analysis using specialized software platforms like NVivo, MAXQDA, or ATLAS.ti, and assist faculty researchers in drafting research materials and peer-reviewed journal publications.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Support ongoing qualitative research activities and project requirements.
• Conduct interviews and focus group discussions as part of data collection.
• Assist with thematic analysis and interpretation of qualitative data.
• Use qualitative data analysis software for research organization and analysis.
• Support documentation, reporting, and preparation of research materials.
• Travel across the UAE for research data collection activities when required.
• Contribute to research outputs and academic publications.

🔹 Requirements:

• Currently residing in the United Arab Emirates.
• Native Arabic speaker with excellent written and verbal Arabic and English communication skills.
• Master’s Degree in Public Health is preferred, or a related Health Sciences, Medical, or Healthcare discipline.
• Proven practical experience conducting qualitative research, including interviews, focus groups, and thematic analysis.
• Hands-on proficiency with qualitative data analysis software such as NVivo, MAXQDA, or ATLAS.ti.
• Previous track record of research publications involving qualitative research methodologies.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel across the UAE for research fieldwork and data collection.
