Job Description:
The Payroll Specialist will manage end-to-end multi-state payroll operations, support Workday Payroll implementation activities, and ensure strict compliance in a fast-growing Information Technology environment.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute full-cycle multi-state payroll in Workday for salaried and hourly employees.
- Process off-cycle payroll runs, terminations, retroactive payments, bonuses, and commission payments.
- Maintain payroll data accuracy, including earnings, deductions, pay groups, work locations, tax elections, garnishments, and direct deposits.
- Track hourly employee time, overtime, shift differentials, and PTO accruals.
- Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve issues accurately and confidentially.
- Support Workday Payroll implementation through testing, configuration validation, parallel payroll runs, and data migration checks.
- Develop payroll procedures, internal controls, checklists, and approval workflows.
🔹 Requirements:
- 3+ years of full-cycle payroll experience, including multi-state payroll in the U.S.
- Hands-on Workday Payroll experience is required.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and FLSA classifications.
- Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets.
- Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and follow-through.
