Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Procurement Engineer to manage and oversee specialized procurement operations for major Civil and MEP projects. This role is fundamental to our organizational framework, requiring a professional who can review technical drawings and execute complex sourcing strategies for management and project performance review. You will be responsible for vendor evaluation, price negotiation, and ensuring the cost-effective delivery of materials and equipment. We are looking for an individual with a strong foundation in UAE Construction Market Dynamics and Technical Material Sourcing and a proactive approach to supplier coordination. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute high-impact procurement strategies to meet management and project budget requirements.
- Support technical integrity in Abu Dhabi, ensuring 100% precision in material reviews against project drawings and specifications.
- Liaise with the Human Resources department and site engineering teams to facilitate professional organizational reporting and project synergy.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to maximize cost efficiency and ensure quality standards.
- Utilize digital Information Technology tools, including Oracle NetSuite, to prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement documentation.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related professional field.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience with at least 7 years specifically in the UAE construction market.
- Strong background in management of Civil and MEP procurement workflows and technical vendor relationships.
- Professional background in education or training regarding negotiation strategy, cost analysis, and technical specifications.
- Ability to demonstrate operational excellence, possess a valid UAE Driving License (advantage), and handle multiple project deliveries.
- Excellent coordination skills with the capability to support a high-standard engineering group in Abu Dhabi.
