Job Description:

We are seeking an exceptionally motivated, process-driven, and highly organized QC Document Controller to manage daily engineering data pipelines, advanced quality record workflows, and transmittal tracking tracks at our heavy fabrication facility in ICAD 2, Abu Dhabi. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, organize, and systematically control all QA/QC documentation pipelines fluidly, ensuring complete data accuracy, structural consistency, and absolute tracking traceability across multiple active energy projects.
  • Prepare, review, and track formal technical procedure submissions fluidly, accelerating formal review cycles and securing prompt approvals from external client engineers and internal inspectors.
  • Handle high-volume material submittal documentation, coordinating transmittal routes and maintaining close cross-functional follow-up loops with procurement and project engineering squads.
  • Maintain highly structured, immaculate document control logs, Master Document Registers (MDR), and complex physical or digital project indexing systems.
  • Coordinate continuously with field QA/QC engineers, multi-disciplinary construction leads, independent client auditors, and corporate stakeholders to align documentation updates.
  • Ensure highly secure organization, safe storage preservation, and rapid, friction-free retrieval of all project testing packets, weld logs, and non-destructive testing (NDT) files.
  • Support structural documentation demands fluidly for large-scale steel fabrication, modular construction, refinery shutdowns, asset maintenance, and complex EPC project stages.
  • Utilize advanced Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), tracking databases, and core MS Office applications to maintain real-time reporting metrics.
  • Enforce absolute compliance with strict international quality documentation criteria, project specifications, and individual oil major corporate guidelines.
  • Maintain constantly audit-ready physical and digital data repositories to ensure perfect, deficiency-free compliance during surprise internal and external regulatory quality inspections.
  • Support active construction teams in tracking down missing documentation links, reconciling data discrepancies, and maintaining optimal workflow velocity.

🔹 Requirements:

  • Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree or an accredited Diploma in Engineering, Quality Control, Business Administration, or a strictly related industrial discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 to 4 years of continuous, verified professional experience operating specifically as a QC Document Controller or QA/QC Data Coordinator.
  • Strong practical background handling documentation controls within the Oil & Gas sector, refinery projects, or heavy engineering environments is highly preferred.
  • Proven practical operational experience working directly within modern heavy fabrication, industrial modular construction, brownfield shutdowns, or EPC contract environments.
  • High proficiency navigating contemporary Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), tracking databases, and advanced Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional structural attention to detail, highly disciplined indexing habits, and a natural capacity to cross-reference technical data points with zero tolerance for administrative discrepancies.
  • Demonstrated capacity to self-manage multiple fast-paced documentation pipelines simultaneously under strict delivery deadlines and project targets.
  • Excellent verbal articulation and professional technical writing skills in English to interface fluidly with sovereign engineers and multi-national technical boards.
