Job Description:
A growing organization is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor – Tender / Pre-Contracts to join its commercial team in Abu Dhabi. Based in Abu Dhabi, this engineering professional will prepare cost estimates and BOQs, execute quantity take-offs, manage tender documentation, evaluate vendor quotations, identify value engineering solutions, and ensure strict pre-contract commercial compliance across major infrastructure projects.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, feasibility studies, and project budgets.
- Perform quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
- Prepare tender documentation and manage the tendering process.
- Issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) based on approved BOQs.
- Evaluate supplier and contractor quotations and prepare tender evaluation reports.
- Support procurement and other pre-contract commercial activities.
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets during the design stage.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost optimization solutions.
- Ensure compliance with contractual and commercial requirements.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of quantity surveying experience with a primary focus on pre-contracts and tender management.
- Proven expertise in cost estimation, quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation, and commercial tender evaluations.
- Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, PlanSwift, or specialized quantity surveying applications.
- Experience in infrastructure, Water Treatment Plant (WTP), or Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) projects is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, commercial negotiation, technical reporting, and interpersonal skills.
