Job Description:
A leading sports facility in Dubai Sports City is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage its financial operations. Based in Dubai, this accounting professional will oversee general ledger activities, manage accounts payable and receivable ledgers, conduct bank reconciliations, ensure UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, maintain QuickBooks records, support statutory audit coordination, and deliver key financial reporting to senior management.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complete accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing.
- Record and monitor daily financial transactions while ensuring the accuracy of accounting records.
- Monitor cash flow, revenue, expenses, and budget performance.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve financial discrepancies.
- Handle VAT compliance, VAT returns, and corporate tax-related accounting activities.
- Support corporate tax preparation, documentation, and coordinate with external consultants and auditors.
- Maintain accounting records in compliance with UAE regulations and company policies.
- Manage payroll-related accounting entries and support finance operations.
- Maintain accounting software records and ensure smooth system functionality.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support management decision-making.
🔹 Requirements:
- 5–6 years of progressive accounting experience; background in Big 4 firms or prior sports facility/club industry experience is an advantage.
- ACCA or CA professional qualification is preferred and will be considered a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software, general ledger management, and financial reporting.
- In-depth technical knowledge of UAE VAT regulations, Corporate Tax compliance, statutory audit procedures, and payroll accounting.
- Strong analytical mindset, numerical precision, and financial management capabilities.
