Job Description:
The Accountant will oversee high-level financial reporting, manage import and export trade accounting, and lead general ledger workflows. Operating within our Dubai logistics unit, this senior professional will manage VAT compliance, perform complex inventory reconciliations, supervise ERP system accounting entries, and deliver comprehensive financial insights to drive strategic business operations.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate accounting records and oversee daily financial transactions.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Manage VAT compliance, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities.
- Monitor inventory accounting and ensure accurate stock-related financial records.
- Handle accounting processes related to logistics, import, and export operations.
- Reconcile bank accounts, customer accounts, and supplier accounts.
- Utilize ERP systems to manage accounting functions efficiently.
- Support management with financial analysis and business reporting.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 6–7 years of hands-on professional accounting experience.
- Proven background and domain expertise in logistics, shipping, or import/export commercial environments.
- In-depth expertise in financial reporting, local UAE VAT regulations, and inventory accounting procedures.
- High proficiency in enterprise ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking capabilities.
- Proven capacity to manage tight financial deadlines independently within a fast-paced environment.
