Job Description:
Shriji Trading is seeking a highly competent Senior Accountant to join its finance department in JLT, Dubai. Reporting directly to the Finance Controller, this senior financial professional will lead accounting team members, manage month-end/year-end closing processes, oversee UAE VAT calculations and filings, execute payroll processing, manage banking and treasury, and maintain complete financial control across trading operations.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end accounting operations and daily finance activities.
- Lead and mentor accounting team members to ensure smooth workflow.
- Independently handle month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Manage VAT calculations, filings, and compliance requirements.
- Handle banking activities and treasury management.
- Process payroll and ensure statutory compliance.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Maintain General Ledger accuracy and perform account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Prepare financial reports and coordinate with the Finance Controller.
🔹 Requirements:
- M.Com with 5–10 years of relevant experience OR CA Inter with a minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Mandatory UAE accounting experience within trading, commercial, or corporate sectors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UAE VAT compliance, payroll processing, financial controls, and month-end closing practices.
- Hands-on operational proficiency in modern ERP-based accounting software systems.
- Strong leadership, team management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
