Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Commercial Engineer to manage all post-contract activities from project award to close-out. This role is fundamental to our organizational framework, requiring a professional who can ensure accurate tracking of interim payments and variations for management and financial performance review. You will be responsible for administering IPAs/IPCs, negotiating variation orders, and protecting commercial interests through expert contract interpretation. We are looking for an individual with a strong foundation in FIDIC Contracts and Commercial Claims Management and a proactive approach to cost forecasting. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all post-contract commercial activities to meet management and financial close-out targets.
- Support fiscal integrity in Dubai, ensuring 100% precision in Interim Payment Applications (IPAs) and certification processes.
- Liaise with the Human Resources and planning departments to facilitate professional organizational reporting and project budget tracking.
- Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate Variation Orders (VOs) while resolving payment-related discrepancies and under-certification issues.
- Utilize digital Information Technology tools, including AutoCAD and PlanSwift, for drawing reviews and accurate quantity take-offs.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience specifically in a similar commercial engineering role.
- Strong background in management of FIDIC contracts, EOT claims, and final account settlements.
- Professional background in education or training regarding cost estimation, rate analysis, and contract compliance.
- Ability to demonstrate operational excellence, possess strong technical proficiency in BIM/AutoCAD, and meet strict financial targets.
- Excellent communication skills with the capability to support a high-standard engineering firm in Dubai.
