Senior Electrical Engineer – Supervision – Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Description:

The Senior Electrical Engineer – Supervision will direct site electrical inspections, review shop drawings and material submittals, liaise with Abu Dhabi statutory authorities, and work with executive project management to maintain high quality and safety standards.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Review electrical shop drawings, single-line diagrams, material submittals, and technical documentation for compliance.
• Conduct daily electrical site inspections and monitor installation progress against approved schedules.
• Supervise contractor execution of power, lighting, low voltage, and building services installations.
• Attend site progress meetings, coordinate with sub-consultants, and prepare accurate Minutes of Meeting (MoM).
• Oversee and witness site testing, pre-commissioning, and final system commissioning procedures.
• Liaise directly with local authorities including TAQA (ADDC), ADM, ADCD, and other regulatory bodies in Abu Dhabi.
• Monitor MEP contractor performance, identify technical non-conformances, and recommend technical solutions.

🔹 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited university.
• 8 to 10+ years of hands-on UAE experience specializing in building services and electrical site supervision.
• Mandatory prior project supervision experience in Abu Dhabi, particularly with residential building developments.
• Deep technical knowledge of electrical systems, local authority codes (ADDC/TAQA, ADCD), and shop drawing reviews.
• Strong leadership, site supervision, authority coordination, and report writing abilities.
• Must currently reside in the UAE; immediate joiners are highly preferred.
