Job Description / Role
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Payment Processing: Efficiently handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments using the bakery’s Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Customer Engagement: Greet customers warmly, provide information on bakery products, and handle inquiries with a polite and friendly demeanor.
- Cash Reconciliation: Manage the cash drawer, ensure accurate change is provided, and conduct daily end-of-shift reconciliations.
- Order Accuracy: Verify that the items selected by the customer match the rang-up total to prevent discrepancies.
- Hygiene Standards: Assist in maintaining a clean and organized counter area, adhering to food safety and hygiene protocols.
- Shift Flexibility: Work efficiently across various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, to support the bakery’s peak hours.
🔹 Requirements:
- Experience: Prior experience as a cashier in a bakery, café, or restaurant; candidates with UAE F&B experience are highly encouraged to apply.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of modern POS systems and standard cash handling procedures.
- Language: Good communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is considered a significant advantage.
- Aptitude: Strong basic math skills with a high degree of attention to detail and reporting accuracy.
- Attributes: Friendly, polite, and service-oriented personality with the ability to handle long hours in a fast-paced setting.
- Education: Minimum of a High School Certificate or relevant vocational training in hospitality.
