Assistant Accountant – Accounts Receivable – Dubai, UAE

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• FM Invoicing: Prepare and issue accurate invoices specifically related to Facilities Management service contracts and work orders.
• Collections Management: Actively engage with customers to secure on-time payments and proactively resolve outstanding or disputed balances.
• Ledger Maintenance: Ensure the Accounts Receivable ledger is meticulously updated, reflecting real-time customer balances and aging.
• Reconciliation: Perform routine reconciliations of receivables, bank collections, and individual customer statements.
• Reporting Support: Assist the senior finance team with month-end closing activities and the preparation of AR aging reports.
• Data Analysis: Utilize advanced Excel functions to analyze collection trends and identify potential credit risks.

🔹 Requirements:

• Industry Experience: Prior experience in Accounts Receivable within the Facilities Management industry is highly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with accounting software or major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or Tally).
• Excel Proficiency: Strong ability to manage financial data using Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
• Process Knowledge: Solid understanding of UAE invoicing standards, VAT requirements on invoices, and collections procedures.
• Soft Skills: Persistence in collections combined with professional communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
