Internal Auditor – Dubai, UAE | Ahalia Exchange

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Risk-Based Auditing: Conduct comprehensive internal audits and risk assessments across all financial and operational processes.
• Compliance Oversight: Ensure strict adherence to AML/CFT regulations and Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) guidelines for exchange houses.
• Operational Audit: Audit core business functions including remittances, foreign exchange, agent management, and sanction screening processes.
• Transaction Monitoring: Review KYC/CDD (Know Your Customer / Customer Due Diligence) and transaction monitoring logs to identify and report suspicious activities.
• Issue Remediation: Track audit findings and follow up on management action plans to ensure all gaps are remediated timely.
• Governance Support: Support the strengthening of internal control frameworks and promote a culture of transparency and accountability.

🔹 Requirements:

• Experience: 3 to 7 years of internal audit experience specifically within an Exchange House or Financial Institution in the UAE.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong command of CBUAE regulations, AML/CFT frameworks, and Exchange House specific guidelines.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional Certification: CA, CIA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification is highly preferred.
• Skills: Advanced analytical, reporting, and stakeholder communication abilities.
• Focus: Expertise in auditing KYC, Sanction Screening, and Foreign Exchange operations.
