🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Specialized Coding: Accurately assign ICD-10-AM and CPT codes for complex IVF and ART procedures, including egg retrieval, ICSI, and embryo transfers.
• Regulatory Governance: Ensure 100% adherence to DOH Abu Dhabi (HAAD) regulations and specific payer-mandated coding requirements.
• Clinical Validation: Review and validate clinical documentation from embryologists and physicians to ensure it supports the assigned medical codes.
• Audit & Risk Management: Conduct regular internal coding audits to identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions to minimize denials.
• Denial Management: Lead the technical review of rejected claims and provide expert coding support for the appeals process.
• Mentorship: Act as the subject matter expert for the revenue cycle team, providing guidance and quality oversight to junior medical coders.

🔹 Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on medical coding experience, with a significant focus on IVF, ART, and OB-GYN services.
• Certification: Professional coding certification such as CPC (AAPC) or CCS (AHIMA) is highly preferred.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or a related healthcare field.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of DOH Abu Dhabi regulations and the UAE insurance landscape.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to resolve complex documentation and reimbursement issues.
