Job Description / Role
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Artistic Plating: Execute sophisticated pastry and dessert presentations with a focus on Italian aesthetics and artistic flair.
- Cold Kitchen Mastery: Oversee the preparation and assembly of cold dishes, including traditional antipasti, salads, and chilled desserts.
- Consistency & Quality: Ensure every plate leaving the station meets the specific brand standards for taste, temperature, and visual appeal.
- Hygiene Standards: Maintain a meticulous station according to international food safety and HACCP guidelines.
- Culinary Collaboration: Assist the Pastry Chef and Head Chef in daily prep, inventory checks, and the creative development of seasonal menus.
🔹 Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in a similar culinary role (DCDP or experienced Commis 1) within a reputable restaurant or hotel.
- Specialization: Strong technical skills in pastry plating and cold kitchen preparations (Garde Manger).
- Passion: A genuine interest in Italian culinary traditions and high-end dessert production.
- Attributes: Highly organized, reliable, and capable of working efficiently under the pressure of a busy service.
- Education: A diploma or certificate in Culinary Arts or a relevant field is preferred.
